Collected a fallow deer for the freezer saturday morning to share with a few friends. Just waiting for Gareth to skin it next weekend and Dad to butcher the carcass. Good quality free range food at a marvellous £70. My family certainly aren't eating horse meat!
Followed by an afternoon of trying to make cheese. Inspired by Handy Face Cheese. We have soft cheese with black pepper and chives. As well as a Cheddar cheese pressing in the fruit press at the moment.
Sunday brought wonderful sunshine a chance to plant ten wonderful fruit trees. Fiddle around in the vegetable garden and continue building my bug hotel.
Finished by home grown turkey for dinner. Life don't get much better!
