Charity Fundraising DJ Night This Saturday 28th July - Matt Christian will be on the decks spinning the best in funky house. There will be charity collections being made for Macmillan Cancer Support, so please come along with some spare pennies and pounds from 9.00pm!! Olympic Fortnight Tonight see's the opening of London's biggest sporting event since the Euros! We will be showing coverage on our 1st floor screen throughout the next few weeks. So come on get behind your country, cheer on Team GB and lets impress the rest of the world and win some medals. (The room will be available at all times unless it is privately hired - please contact venue for confirmation) Butchers Block to Table Top. Autumn - We will be slightly amending the format this time. We will also be bringing into the fold our friends from Farmers Ales, who will be matching beers to compliment the food, which we are planning to (weather permitting) have a BBQ themed night. We are only running 2 nights this month and they are Monday 13th and Monday 20th August, so spaces are limited. Please contact me to reserve your place or for more information. Also we are now taking bookings for our 'Curry Nights' in October being held on Monday 8th and Thursday 11th. Summer Drinks As always with the start of Summer comes an exciting range of drinks, some classic and some new. Elliot has been busy designing and implementing our new cocktail menu which is available now, we also have available Jugs of Pimms, our fantastic non alcoholic 'Sparklers' and some new bottles for you to try.... Red Stripe, Crabbies Ginger Beer (contains alcohol), Grapetiser (non alcoholic), Raspberry Lemonade (non alcoholic) Hoegaarden (white beer) so come on get into the spirit of summer. Sausage Tasting Sunday 5th August see's us hosting the Annual Sausage Tasting Event. This involves a selection of local producers all competing against each other to win the best sausage. The winner will then be put forward to the national championship. Entry is £2 before the event or £3 on the day. It is held in our 1st floor lounge bar, and will start from 5.00pm and its your taste buds and votes that count!! Vintage Tea Party Sunday 19th August from 10am to 1pm, we will be hosting a Vintage Tea Party to raise awareness and funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Please contact us for more details. 10 Year Party Celebration!! On Saturday 25th August we will be celebrating our 10 year birthday!! Going back to when we 1st started Ali James will be doing an 'Old Skool' set, reminiscent of what things used to be like! Free entry from 8.00pm till late Our first floor cocktail and lounge bar is available for private hire. With a maximum capacity of 100 people, the fully self contained area includes a private bar and is the ideal venue for those looking for that special occasion in unique surroundings. We offer a selection of menu's ranging from finger buffets to a three course meal or, if you prefer, you can discuss your personal requirements with our Chef Ryan. Opened after an extensive renovation, OAKhouse is set in a 16th century timber framed building and combines the traditional materials of its original construction with contemporary fixtures and fittings. With a selection of home cooked breakfasts and lunches, fresh Fairtrade coffee and lively atmosphere, OAKhouse caters for a wide variety of occasions.

Gardeners Farm has been breeding cattle for over 20 years. We have a lovely herd including Aberdeen Angus, Simmental and Belgian Blue and  a few years ago we introduced a herd of Dexters.  These are a miniature breed of cattle that have never been commercially reared and have not had BSE.  They are raised slowly on grass and their meat is succulent and flavoursome.  

We  have also introduced  Saddleback  and Kune Kune pigs and more recently, Peitrane pigs.  As much as  possible these are outside in the sunshine for the best possible life and taste.  

We also have some sheep including Ryland, a rare breed, and  now we are lucky enough to have our lovely shop and to be able offer you our delicious meat  butchered by Danny Spence.  

Danny is a Master Butcher.   He has  trained and worked in some fantastic establishment's and is now  happy to join us in offering you what we can only describe as the best meat you will ever taste !!!!
