Cressing Temple Apple Tree Pruning course
This course was advertised by the EESG and at £15 per person was very good value for money. Our tutor was Anna L. Baldwin who was very knowledgeable and who travels the country pruning fruit trees. It was evident that Anna is passionate about native apple varieties, and she supports Cressing Temple with the management of their orchard of 40 trees (all of which are Essex or East Anglian varieties).
We had a discussion with Anna and the Cressing Temple head gardener Rebecca Ashbey about the possibility of future courses and liaisons between them and EESG. At some point there may be another course on pruning stone fruit trees - which would be well worth attending.
